Sighted on last night’s walk:

• This conversation between Vanessa Veselka and Kate Bernheimer is fascinating. I just finished Veselka’s Zazen, which I loved. It reminded me a little — not in the voice, but in something about the setting and mood — of The Orange Eats Creeps. Now I need to read Bernheimer, whose work I’ve known about for some time but unaccountably haven’t yet consumed.

• In a matter of weeks I will be here, on a panel moderated by the inimitable Lee Wind. You should come. Can’t come? You can still support a worthy cause. Plus the consolation about not going to a blogging conference is that you can be pretty confident people are gonna blog about it.
