Off the grid, under the radar

I spent most of the weekend — the weekend that was, among other things, an interlude to catch my breath between the convention bookends of Emerald City and Stumptown — offline, catching up on laundry and other neglected household maintenance, and, more enjoyably, seeing some friends I hadn’t had the chance to spend time with for a while. I sent one status update, regarding a housekeeping-related anxiety dream (the warning of which I apparently took entirely to heart), but did not read the updates of others.

Coming “back” this morning, I discovered #amazonfail via my own comments (thanks K) and various friendlists, and also that, for whatever reason, my own books, both of which contain much about The Gay, still have sales rankings.

Developing.

Updated: Amazon calls mistake ’embarrassing and ham-fisted’ (Seattle Post-Intelligencer blog), the lessons of Amazonfail (Kelley Eskridge for Humans At Work).

the first thing I did when I heard about this was check your name on Amazon… I’m glad to hear that you’re under the radar. Please keep us informed about what we can do to raise awareness.
