A little over a year ago, I bought a pair of boots. (And blogged about it.)
I bought them on super sale for an Occasion and I wore them to the Occasion. They’re kind of insane, these boots. Bronze metallic, knee-high, higher heels than I usually wear.
Anyway, yesterday I was going to take some things to Goodwill and I was thinking about the boots and whether I should keep them. I decided to ask my friend Jess what she thought, and told her what I’ve just told you, ending with something like, “Yeah, so I don’t know, they’re really cool, but I just don’t seem to wear them much, I’m not sure how to wear them more.”
She said, “The way to wear the boots is to wear them.”
Application to non-fashion situations left as an exercise for the readers.
