1. Solidarity forever, the union makes us strong. Thank goodness I am a union employee in the world of my day job and thus am required to take a day off when I’ve been working over the weekend (shut up, I was too). Not setting an alarm this morning was unbelievably great.
2. Though getting enough sleep meant that I had odd high school dreams, which I haven’t had in a long time. I am always coming back to Theater Guild to do another show, and there are always already people clustered in cliques backstage.
3. I got my thrift-score pants back from being hemmed. I was hoping for a Katherine Hepburn-in-menswear effect, despite the fact that she and I have approximately opposite physiques, and I think what I’ve ended is up with is closer to Charlie Chaplin, but they are still excellently made pants and I will wear the heck out of them.
4. As of last night I have started to watch the first season of Deadwood. What virtuoso swears they all swear. So far my favorite character is Jane.
5. It is so good to be home.

June 30, 2007 at 7:39 amWhaaaat? I’m union, and after ALA I have to work the day after I get back. No fair!
I had a nightmare this morning I had forgotten to go to my last day of work, and was late for my going-away party to boot.
I love love love Deadwood. We spent my day off yesterday watching the first half of season three of The Wire. I’m not loving it as much as the last season, but it is still great.
