Next Friday I’ll be headed for the American Library Association Conference in Washington, D.C., where I will lead a double life. All y’all who are going to ALA, please come to the Penguin booth (#2710) Saturday afternoon between 3 and 4! I’ll be signing copies of The Rules for Hearts and anything else you want me to write my name on.
In other news: I met some writers tonight. They don’t write for teens, and mostly they don’t write comics, either. I liked them. We had a lot to say to each other. I also liked being reminded that other writers use different yardsticks.

June 15, 2007 at 11:03 amI miss getting on airplanes at the start of a trip. I used to love the whole experience because it’s the beginning of something so filled with possibilities. O’Hare airport used to be my fave in my 20’s because it seemed to totally be designed by the William Gibson of airport interior design. The Denver airport is one of my new favorites, I only wish it was as lovely on the inside as the outside.
