Hey all. Remember how a while back I mentioned that there was going to be a new Flytrap story, illustrated by the talented Mr. Ron Chan?
Here it is!
Those of you who’ve read Flytrap #1*: “Juggling Act“, illustrated by Steve Lieber, know that Maddy becomes the PR representative for Flytrap Circus. In this story, “Deep, too,” Maddy is trying to get some good publicity photos for the circus’s website.
Flytrap Episode 2: “Deep, too.”
Click the image to read the whole thing online. And if you’re at the New York Comic Con, track down Ron Chan and get a paper copy! ribinder, you should definitely meet up with Ron if at all possible. :)
*edited to add: and if you haven’t read Flyrap #1, click the Juggling Act link above and you can read it all online, too.

February 23, 2007 at 9:16 amMan, Susan and I were all like “Ron is soooOOOoooo talented omg those Flytrap pages are sooooOOooo good” in the car yesterday. Somewhere his ears pretty much ignited into fierce flames.
That little “gheex!” at the end is freakin’ precious, Sara. Heheh. Must’ve been intensely fun to script all the circus shenanigans – how many of them have you actually seen folks do at circus school?

February 23, 2007 at 11:44 amArgh! I got to page 3, then the server wouldn’t connect no mo’! Damn InterWeb!
That said, I like what I see so far. Chan’s effin’ amayzink! You did a nice job of establishing character in only a few pages.
And, yes, I too wanna see it in print.

Muh-muh-more!

February 23, 2007 at 3:45 pmlet’s see. i’ve seen trapeze, unicycle tightrope, and stiltwalking — though i haven’t seen tai chi done on stilts. have not seen glass-eating, either, but i’ve read about it in various of my circus reference books. (i love having a circus reference collection…)
