    aw. the ones i recognize from that list are lovely. i am not exclusively a cynic re: holiday music. i love some old old carols, “audete gaudete,” f’rinstance.

    I’ll agree with Sean on the Waitresses and Squirrel Nut Zippers (disappointed that I couldn’t find that album during my holiday shopping today, in fact), and I’ll add ‘It’s Christmastime (oh yeah)’ by Barenaked Ladies, and well, the entire John Denver & The Muppets: A Christmas Together album.
