March 8, 2006 at 10:54 pmThis randomly reminds me of how yesterday during my teen book group discussion we got on the topic of different mafia’s and info on them on the web. I threw out random bits about the library mafia, but they weren’t buying it. But it is our new running joke.

March 22, 2006 at 8:15 amThe part that surprised me was the “retired” member who now does their website for them. That opens up a whole can of previously unsuspected cultural worms somehow. Admittedly this is not something I know a lot about, but you picture these guys either reforming, doing life in prison or dead. You don’t picture them genially “retiring,” going off to college and coming home to do tech support. Hell, I was under the impression (admittedly gleaned from TV cop shows – I said I was fairly ignorant on the subject) that they didn’t LET you retire.
But the concept of drive-by spamming…wow. I want to see some of those. I really do.
