An example of the extent of my devotion to all things Moomin: the only time I thought seriously about getting a tattoo, I was thinking it would be of Little My.
I’m always toying with the idea, but there is just something so sublime to me about the lines of the human body without interruption.

“sisters in the naked skin” also sounds like our tell-all memoir. ;)

I mostly lurk on your not-an-LJ, but this zapped me into posting: I too once seriously considered a tattoo of a Moomin character. It just seemed like one of the only things I would never get tired of.
Three cheers for D&Q!

As of yesterday I’d never been aware of the Moomin stuff, but i saw the D&Q announcement and it looked fun, and picqued my interest. Then, last night at work, waiting for my ride after close, I reached out blindly to a nearby pricing cart for something to look at, and by chance grabbed one of the illustrated Tove Jansson books of Moomin.
It was a Moomin day.

Hey, I just got the copy of the Moomin Comic Strip book! I’m reading it a little bit every night before I go to sleep…savoring it. Apparently, but you probably know this, there are supposed to be four more of these coming out. Little My has always been my favorite character! She always makes me laugh. What a shame to grow up with these books in Eire, come back to the US as an adult and find out most people have never heard of them. As a teacher, I am doing my part to change that. I want to go to the Moomin amusement parks! Bye now.
