I’ve been wondering if it’s worth my while to set up a MySpace profile. I know a bunch of other authors who have them, but is anybody really going to find me there who wouldn’t be able to find me at sararyan.com? Or inside LJ?
Please to offer pro or con opinions, y’all. Thanks!

January 6, 2006 at 8:02 amI barely use my myspace account for anything but previewing music from bands that have accounts there, yet dear friends from years ago who never found me on LJ found me there. I’d say put something up, even if it’s just a pointer to somewhere else.

January 6, 2006 at 12:59 pmI agree with alisgray, I’d set one up just to point those who may find it to other places where you are actually updating. :)

January 6, 2006 at 7:14 pmYes, for some reason a lot of people find me on myspace and its much harder to find people on LJ. of course, if people have read your book.. then they saw your website, as i did, in the back, but it might be a good idea.

January 7, 2006 at 2:30 amIf you could find a way to post to MySpace via LJ, or post to both at once, then you could kill two promotional outlets to a YA audience with one stone.
But having your own URL is probably still the best way for your readership to find you.
