I’ve just discovered

Jenny Davidson’s blog, Light Reading. (Cleverly hidden at jennydavidson.blogspot.com.)

Man oh man. I loved her book Heredity (somewhere there’s a photo of carapace_green and I, sitting at opposite ends of a couch, both reading it) and her blog is great, too. She recommends lots (and lots, and lots) of books, writes about academia/literary life, and is funny and insightful. We also seem to have at least somewhat similar taste. (Patrick O’Brian, Helen DeWitt’s amazing The Last Samurai, Richard Powers’ The Time of Our Singing, etc.) Must add her to my linklist. (And get around to messing with my stylesheet…)
